Amazon.com A cult phenomenon returns with The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. The vigilante MacManus brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus, reprising their roles from the first movie) have retired to Ireland, but a copycat killing of a Boston priest brings them back to dish out their unique brand of quasi-spiritual justice. The story line doesn't differ much from the first movie; the brothers have a new sidekick (Clifton Collins Jr., Capote) and a new pursuer, FBI agent Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz of Dexter, striving to take the place of Willem Dafoe from the original), but it's basically a series of shootouts in which the brothers pop up "unexpectedly" and blast a bunch of cartoonish criminals to pieces. The Boondock Saints was not a good movie, but it had a weird, unique energy--you couldn't tell if the movie took itself so seriously that it was ludicrous or if it was mocking itself while reveling in its absurd extravagances. All Saints Day has the same ridiculous swagger and baroque macho dialogue, but this time the spark is missing (with the exception of Collins, who brings all his dependable live-wire energy). Some cult fans will be disappointed, but others will still find things to enjoy. Also featuring Scottish comedian Billy Connolly (reprising his role as the elder MacManus), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), and Peter Fonda (Easy Rider). --Bret Fetzer

| Customer Reviews: In the same spirit August 30, 2010 Ivy People hate on sequels, especially when they are a long time coming.
This was a good one though and kept very much in the same spirit as the first one.
So bad, we couldn't finish it. August 28, 2010 Kent Boondock Saints was an awesome movie and it ranks among the best in my opinion. This was a disaster. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the girl who replaced Willem Dafoe being horrible. I thought Rita from Dexter would have done a better job. She wasn't the only problem with this movie. It was nothing like the first and most of the original characters from the first are gone. Save your time and money, avoid this movie. I actually use it now more than the Matrix when I need to refer to a movie with bad sequels.
ENGLANDS WORST NIGHTMARE August 27, 2010 JT First off the redhead is "HOT" (Julie Benz)". The boys are forced to come out and clean the streets of vermin again. Excellent Job unlike a lot of films that use the computer and green screen way to much. Secondly "THE RED HEAD IS HOT". Maybe its her accent???
Don't Watch This Movie August 18, 2010 fionag I was highly disappointed with this movie. The first one was good, but this second one really ruined it for me. It's very juvenile and the story was bad beyond belief. The acting is hambone (some worse than others) and isn't true to the characters from the first one. I watched the movie because I liked the actors, but after watching this movie I like them less. Too bad.
SKIP THIS CRAP! August 17, 2010 B. Nucci (Charlotte, NC) There's a reason why no one wanted this movie made - IT SUCKS!! Troy Duffy is a total idiot! This movie doesn't even fall into the same category as the first. The acting is horrible, the script is complete garbage...one of the worst movies made!!!
